Graham was excited for his senior photoshoot. He felt really comfortable in nature, and was drawn to the idea of Hidden Falls Regional Park with its beautiful waterfall and beaches along the Mississippi. And I was so excited to work with him as his Minneapolis Senior Photographer!

Senior Portrait Session

The day arrived with perfectly sunny skies and temps. We met up in the morning and worked around Hidden Falls Regional Park to capture some amazing photos. Graham seemed to enjoy his photoshoot a lot! He talked a little about his plans, school and career ideas, and felt excited for the future.

After Graham’s portrait session, he and his parents reviewed the “best-of-the-best” photos with me in my St Paul photo studio to choose their favorite photos and artwork. They narrowed down to their absolute favorites photos, and then chose a collection of beautiful matted fine art prints to enjoy.

Como Japanese Garden Wedding Photos | Jennie + William

Japanese Garden Wedding Photographer

Jennie was a former wedding planner, so she had a spectacular day planned for her beautiful autumn wedding with William. To honor William’s Asian heritage, they planned to be married at the gorgeous Como Park Japanese Garden. Following their big event, they were celebrating with a gorgeous dinner at the Garden Room in Eden Prairie, and celebrations including a Lion Dance with drummers, as well as an amazing Asian food spread and late night snacks, and then followed with casino games and dancing. So much fun!

Como Park’s Japanese Garden was a stunning setting for their beautiful wedding ceremony. They had a celebratory brunch immediately after their ceremony, and then headed over to the Garden Room for the big reception.

The evening started with a cocktail hour, followed by an amazing Asian dinner, and then toasts. Jennie, William and their wedding party changed into more Western attire, and then began the celebration with their first dance and cake cutting. Afterward, they unveiled casino night, with tables and dealers scattered around the room, and partied their way into the night.

Saint Paul Senior Pictures

Sofia was a little nervous about her senior photos – I told her I totally understood. It can feel very strange being in front of a camera! I explained that I would help her along with posing and directing, and that seemed to make all the difference. Her nerves were calmed and she had tons of fun, and we captured some amazing portraits together! I was so happy to be able to help as her Minneapolis senior photographer.

Silverwood Park Wedding Photographer | Alison + Brian

Silverwood Park Wedding Photos

Alison + Brian were planning their wedding from afar. They both even lived in separate cities! They were so excited for their big day and the point where they would not only be married, but get to live together, as their schools and jobs kept them apart beforehand. We had several meetings via Zoom and phone before their big day, and before we knew it, the day finally arrived!

Silverwood Park Wedding and Reception

The day started with Alison + Brian’s prep at Silverwood, and then their first look. We worked together on some couple portraits before capturing family portraits. Then it was on to the big event! They spoke their vows on the beautiful Silverwood Patio, and then we headed off to cocktail hour and then dinner. After toasts were given, Alison + Brian even sang a sweet ukulele duet they had written together celebrating their love. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! We finished the night with games, a Photo Booth, pie and even a smore’s bar with toasted marshmallows on the Silverwood patio fireplace.

Mackenzie was excited for her senior photos. She knew she wanted gorgeous manicured gardens in her photos, and I proposed Como Park. She loved the idea! I was so exited to work with her as her Minneapolis senior picture photographer!

Saint Croix Boom Site Senior Pictures | Carina

Stillwater Cave Senior Photos

Carina and her family knew they wanted her senior photos out on the St Croix River in Stillwater. While they lived in the western suburbs of Minneapolis, they spent a lot of time boating on the St Croix, and it had a special place in Carina’s heart. I proposed working over near the Stillwater Cave, and along the St Croix riverfront, and they loved the idea! I was so excited to work with them as their Minneapolis senior photographer!

The day arrived and the weather was perfect! Carina had a few gorgeous outfit options chosen, and we worked together at the St Croix Boom Site for a bit. We then decided to head into Stillwater and work near the Lift Bridge. We had so much fun together, and Carina had a blast!

Best Friends Senior Pictures | Stella + Norah

Best Friends Senior Photographer

Stella and Norah had been best friends since first grade. They journeyed all the way through grade school, middle and high school together, and even wanted to take their senior photos together. I was excited to photograph them as their Minneapolis senior photographer!

Long Lake Regional Park Senior Photos

Stella and Norah knew they wanted tall grassy fields in their photos, and I knew the perfect location: Long Lake Park in New Brighton. We arrived on a beautiful August afternoon, and it was absolutely perfect! The gals wore several coordinating outfits, and we photographed them both together as well as individually.

After their session, they visited my St Paul photo studio and chose their favorite photos for beautiful fine art albums, prints and wall art. They were thrilled with their beautiful artwork and will cherish it forever!

Glass House Wedding Photographer | Kelly + Chris

Glass House Wedding Photos

Kelly + Chris were planning to be married at Glass House in Minneapolis. Even though there was rain on their big day, it did not dampen their spirits as they were so excited to tie the knot! Instead of a traditional late afternoon/evening event, they opted for a daytime wedding with brunch reception, and everything was so amazing.

They started out with a quick first look shortly after they arrived at Glass House. Afterward, the guests began arriving for a fun cocktail hour filled with friends, appetizers and drinks, and even a string quartet. Once everyone was ready, guests were then ushered into the dining area, and once they took their seats, it was time for the big event!

Chris and Kelly tied the knot in front of their friends and relatives. They were so happy, I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the room! After they said their vows, it was time for quick group photos, and then on to brunch. They had an amazing spread consisting of a waffle bar and other brunch favorites, and then followed with dessert, coffee and cocktails into the afternoon as the sun finally made an appearance and guests could mingle in the front garden of Glass House.

Family Photographers Minneapolis | Dowdal Family

Catherine and Matthew wanted to fill their home with the life and love of family portrait artwork. They had seen some of my options online and they loved them! They wanted to capture the kiddos at this stage of life before they grew and the memories faded. They were hoping for a large centerpiece in their living room, over the sofa.

The day arrived and the whole family was so excited. The kiddos brought along their favorite stuffies for some portraits too. They all were smiles and laughs and had so much fun, especially when we had the kiddos playing together, chasing each other around and even spinning in circles together. The kiddos were also excited to catch some portraits with their favorite stuffies too.

After their session, the Dowdals visited my St Paul photo studio to review the “best-of-the-best” photos. They narrowed down to their favorite photos from their session, both the four of them together as well as a few of the kiddos together and with their stuffies. We created a beautiful wall art collection to adorn their walls, as well as a few extra prints for frames of the kids.
