Today is part four, the last of my blog series on Madina + Omkar’s spectacular, multi-day Indian wedding ceremony. Take a look at their Muslim wedding photography, Indian wedding photography and St Paul Hotel wedding reception photography blog posts too!
Madina + Omkar and I decided we did not have enough time during their Indian wedding ceremonies to capture portraits of the two of them alone as we were initially hoping. So we decided to hold one more portrait session at magnificent Como Park to capture the them together in their gorgeous Indian wedding attire, celebrating their love.
Both Madina + Omkar were adorned in magnificent, custom-designed garments that used handwork and materials from six different countries. They were so happy and relaxed during our session – so happy after the past week’s festivities and happy to be newly married. They still had so much to do with Madina moving in with Omkar as well as planning their Hawaiian/Californian honeymoon in just a few weeks. But they were so happy to be able to capture their portraits together in a more relaxed, unhurried photo session.
Como Park was perfect that day – a bit of cloud cover to create dramatic lighting, along with the beautiful waterfall and fountain, bridge, trees and fields for them to spend time and create beautiful images of them together.
Madina + Omkar, I want to thank you so much for including me in your magnificent Indian wedding celebration. I am so honored to have met you as well as your families, and for having witnessed the love shared by all of you. I am so grateful to be included in your beautiful wedding ceremonies and traditions. I am so happy for the two of you as you begin your new lives together, and I wish you both the best that life has to offer!
