Gorgeous James J Hill Center Wedding
Carissa + Ryan faced a challenge: planning a wedding on the other side of the country! They had moved out to Seattle several years ago, and then became engaged in 2017. They decided to hold their wedding in Minneapolis to be closer for family and friends. Due to their love of reading as well as beautiful architecture, the two of them settled on having a James J Hill Center wedding amongst the stacks of books and beautiful marble columns. And I was so excited when they hired me to work with them!
We started working together last winter to create their beautiful Como Park Conservatory engagement photos. We made an awesome guest book using their engagement photos.
James J Hill Center Wedding Day
Fast-forward to March, and their wedding day was here. The James J Hill Center looked so amazing on their big day. They designed their wedding around the game “Legends of Zelda”, an homage to Ryan’s game programming career out in Seattle. The day was warm (for March in Minnesota) and clear. They were pretty relaxed and casual through everything, and had so much fun seeing everyone. They were even able to bring their dog out from Seattle and snagged a few cute puppy pics together! And then it was so great seeing their utter happiness at tying the knot.
Carissa + Ryan, thank you so much for working with me as your wedding photographer! I had so much fun working with you and getting to know you both. Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!
