Midland Hills Country Club Wedding Photos

Midland Hills Country Club, founded during the Roaring Twenties by University of Minnesota professors and local leaders, is a historic and visually stunning venue that adds timeless character to any Midland Hills Country Club wedding. Designed by renowned golf course architect Seth Raynor, the rolling hills and undulating greens were thoughtfully shaped using a topographical map created by a University of Minnesota professor. Following a meticulous 2020 restoration led by architect Jim Urbina, the course once again reflects classic golf course architecture, enhancing the natural beauty, elegance, and sense of history that make Midland Hills Country Club an exceptional and unforgettable wedding setting.

Saint Columba Church Wedding

Wing + Mark started their big day with prep time at Midland Hills. Once they were ready, we held their first look outside the main entrance of the historic building. Afterward, we worked on wedding party photos as well as group photos. Then it was on to St Columba Church in Saint Paul for the big event!

Once Wing + Mark tied the knot, they held a Lion Dance outside the church to celebrate! Next, a group of us jumped into the shuttle and we had time to travel around the Cities to some favorite spots to capture a few more photos, including MN Loons United stadium and Como Lake for a jaunt in a duck boat! After that we headed back to Midland Hills for the big party.

Wing + Mark had the gorgeous Midland Hills ballroom dressed to the nines. Along with their grand entrance, cocktail hour and toasts, Mark was surprised with a choreographed flash mob dance and they both held their traditional table visits dressed in Korean finery. We had time to run outside to the golf course for some beautiful sunset portraits before they danced and partied the night away.

Following their stunning Enchanted Garden wedding ceremony, we headed upstairs to the Bullard Rainforest Auditorium for their reception. Cocktail hour was followed by dinner and toasts, and then their first dance. It was such a beautiful day!

Jessica + Matt began the day with preparations at the Four Seasons Hotel in Minneapolis. They held their first look right by the Frog Pond in front of the Como Park Conservatory. We just had enough time to capture some portraits of them followed by wedding party photos when the rain began. We finished just in the nick of time!

Once their ceremony, family photos and remaining couple photos were complete, we headed over to the Ordway Garden for their reception. They had a cocktail hour followed by dinner, and then their first dance as well as fun games for everyone to enjoy. It was such a beautiful day!

Nestled in the heart of Saint Paul, this iconic venue is one of the most beloved wedding locations in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area, especially for couples dreaming of a romantic, garden-inspired celebration.

As a Minneapolis–St. Paul wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of photographing weddings for years at the Como Park Conservatory that feel both elegant and deeply personal. Tosha + Jordan’s wedding, held in the Sunken Garden and followed with the reception in the Covered Porch, was a beautiful example of why this venue continues to captivate couples year after year.

Surrounded by vibrant seasonal blooms, Steve + Manuel exchanged heartfelt vows beneath the soaring glass dome, with the sweet sounds of a violin quartet setting a serene, romantic tone.

St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church Wedding | Abby + Milos

Serbian Orthodox Church Wedding Photographer

Abby + Milos were planning their wedding day at the Serbian Orthodox Church in St Paul. They lived in southern Minnesota, but would be heading up for the ceremony in St Paul, and then returning to southern MN for their reception. They hired me to photograph their ceremony, and they also loved the idea of working at a nearby park to capture beautiful autumn couple photos before heading to their reception.

They day arrived a bit cool but a bright sunny sky. We captured the two of them getting ready, and then on to their wedding ceremony. I had never photographed a Serbian Orthodox ceremony before, and it was so unique – I especially loved the vintage orthodox artwork and adorable church, along with the fun traditions (especially the crowns they both had to wear!) Once their ceremony was over, we captured some family photos at the church before we headed over to the park for their photos.

We had so much fun walking around the gorgeous park and capturing beautiful photos of the two of them together. We spent time by the lake as well as on a dock and in the trees. After an hour, Abby + Milos headed back down to southern Minnesota to party the night away!

Como Park Sunken Garden Wedding Photos

Kaitlan + Tristan were big Harry Potter fans. While they didn’t want a “theme” wedding, they still wanted to include touches of the Harry Potter universe in their big day. Everything went off without a hitch, and they had a spectacular wedding day!

We began with wedding preparation at a nearby hotel. They even brought their sweet kitties to the hotel with them, and were excited to have the cats dressed in Harry Potter house sweaters while they held their “cat first look” photos inside the hotel. Once they were ready, it was on to Como Park.

Kaitlan + Tristan’s first look was held in the Como Park Exedra. We followed up with couple portraits around the Frog Pond. Afterward, they had wedding party and family photos before it was on to the big event! They spoke their vows in front of their closest family and friends, and then it was on to the reception right over in the Como Covered Porch.

Kaitlan + Tristan had so much fun at their reception. The event began with cocktail hour, and then followed with a buffet dinner. After the toasts were given, they held their first dance, and then everyone danced their way into the night.

Adrienne + Lyle had a gorgeous wedding ceremony at Como Park. With their smaller group size, they fit perfectly on the Como Park Exedra, right above the Frog Pond in front of the Conservatory. The September weather could not have been more perfect!

They started their big event with their first look, followed by couple portraits around the Frog Pond. Once these were over, it was on to get ready for the big event! Once all the guests had arrived, they held their wedding ceremony under the warm autumn sun. There was laughter and tears, and even a sweet song was sung by Lyle’s niece. After the big event, we had some time for family photos, and then Adrienne + Lyle headed off to the reception in Lyle’s restored classic car.

The reception was held in the patio of the Porter Creek Hardwood Grill in Eden Prairie. They had an amazing dinner, followed by toasts, games and cake cutting. They had a wonderful day!

Japanese Garden Wedding Photographer

Jennie was a former wedding planner, so she had a spectacular day planned for her beautiful autumn wedding with William. To honor William’s Asian heritage, they planned to be married at the gorgeous Como Park Japanese Garden. Following their big event, they were celebrating with a gorgeous dinner at the Garden Room in Eden Prairie, and celebrations including a Lion Dance with drummers, as well as an amazing Asian food spread and late night snacks, and then followed with casino games and dancing. So much fun!

Como Park’s Japanese Garden was a stunning setting for their beautiful wedding ceremony. They had a celebratory brunch immediately after their ceremony, and then headed over to the Garden Room for the big reception.

The evening started with a cocktail hour, followed by an amazing Asian dinner, and then toasts. Jennie, William and their wedding party changed into more Western attire, and then began the celebration with their first dance and cake cutting. Afterward, they unveiled casino night, with tables and dealers scattered around the room, and partied their way into the night.

Silverwood Park Wedding Photos

Alison + Brian were planning their wedding from afar. They both even lived in separate cities! They were so excited for their big day and the point where they would not only be married, but get to live together, as their schools and jobs kept them apart beforehand. We had several meetings via Zoom and phone before their big day, and before we knew it, the day finally arrived!

Silverwood Park Wedding and Reception

The day started with Alison + Brian’s prep at Silverwood, and then their first look. We worked together on some couple portraits before capturing family portraits. Then it was on to the big event! They spoke their vows on the beautiful Silverwood Patio, and then we headed off to cocktail hour and then dinner. After toasts were given, Alison + Brian even sang a sweet ukulele duet they had written together celebrating their love. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room! We finished the night with games, a Photo Booth, pie and even a smore’s bar with toasted marshmallows on the Silverwood patio fireplace.
