As a Minneapolis–St. Paul wedding photographer, I love photographing celebrations at Como Park because every space feels alive. It’s a setting that allows couples to be fully present while creating photos that feel cinematic, organic, and meaningful.

Emily + Ryan began their big day with preparations at a nearby hotel. Afterward, we held their first look and couple portraits, wedding party and family portraits. Once complete, it was on to their spectacular wedding ceremony in the Enchanted Garden.

Following their stunning Enchanted Garden wedding ceremony, we headed upstairs to the Bullard Rainforest Auditorium for their reception. Cocktail hour was followed by dinner and toasts, and then their first dance. It was such a beautiful day!

Como Ordway Garden Reception

Jessica + Matt began the day with preparations at the Four Seasons Hotel in Minneapolis. They held their first look right by the Frog Pond in front of the Como Park Conservatory. We just had enough time to capture some portraits of them followed by wedding party photos when the rain began. We finished just in the nick of time!

Once their ceremony, family photos and remaining couple photos were complete, we headed over to the Ordway Garden for their reception. They had a cocktail hour followed by dinner, and then their first dance as well as fun games for everyone to enjoy. It was such a beautiful day!

There is something magical about getting married surrounded by lush greenery, historic architecture, and natural light. Como Park Conservatory offers all of that and more. Nestled in the heart of Saint Paul, this iconic venue is one of the most beloved wedding locations in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area, especially for couples dreaming of a romantic, garden-inspired celebration.

As a Minneapolis–St. Paul wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of photographing weddings for years at the Como Park Conservatory that feel both elegant and deeply personal. Tosha + Jordan’s wedding, held in the Sunken Garden and followed with the reception in the Covered Porch, was a beautiful example of why this venue continues to captivate couples year after year.

Tosha + Jordan prepped at a nearby hotel, and then we held their first look and couple portraits on the Como Park grounds. Afterward we finished up with their couple portraits as well as wedding party and family photos, they tied the knot in the Sunken Garden. Their ceremony was followed with the reception at Como’s Covered Porch. After cocktails and dinner, they danced and partied the night away to celebrate their union.

Surrounded by vibrant seasonal blooms, Steve + Manuel exchanged heartfelt vows beneath the soaring glass dome, with the sweet sounds of a violin quartet setting a serene, romantic tone.

Como Park Sunken Garden Wedding Photos

Kaitlan + Tristan were big Harry Potter fans. While they didn’t want a “theme” wedding, they still wanted to include touches of the Harry Potter universe in their big day. Everything went off without a hitch, and they had a spectacular wedding day!

We began with wedding preparation at a nearby hotel. They even brought their sweet kitties to the hotel with them, and were excited to have the cats dressed in Harry Potter house sweaters while they held their “cat first look” photos inside the hotel. Once they were ready, it was on to Como Park.

Kaitlan + Tristan’s first look was held in the Como Park Exedra. We followed up with couple portraits around the Frog Pond. Afterward, they had wedding party and family photos before it was on to the big event! They spoke their vows in front of their closest family and friends, and then it was on to the reception right over in the Como Covered Porch.

Kaitlan + Tristan had so much fun at their reception. The event began with cocktail hour, and then followed with a buffet dinner. After the toasts were given, they held their first dance, and then everyone danced their way into the night.

James + Sam’s wedding was so gorgeous (as is the case with every wedding at the Conservatory!) We began their big day by capturing their first look photos at their house in W St Paul. After the fun, we headed over to Como Park for some couple photos before the big event.

They spoke their vows as the sun was lowering and dusk was setting in. After hugs and family photos, we finished their event with more couple photos in the beautiful Sunken Garden. Once we were finished, they headed off to their reception dinner with family and friends.

Laura + Travis hired me to capture their wedding day at the Como Conservatory Sunken Garden in St Paul MN. They chose a winter wedding, and their day arrived with a small dusting of snow beforehand. (Apparently we were lucky as most of the winter had been very dry for us up until then.)

We started Laura + Travis’ big day with first look photos of them by the Excedra (the pergola above the Frog Pond). We then captured a few photos of them around the Como Park grounds. Then it was on to the big event!

Laura + Travis’ wedding was so gorgeous (as is every wedding at the Conservatory!) They spoke their vows as the sun was lowering and dusk was setting in. Como Conservatory Proposal Photos | Sully + Allison

I received a call one afternoon from Sully. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend Allison at the Como Park Conservatory, in the Sunken Garden, and had rented it out in the near future. The two of them had a strong connection to the Como Conservatory, with Allison’s grandmother being a long-time volunteer, so he knew it would be a special place for her. Once Sully and I confirmed date and time, and made plans to be as sneaky as possible so Allison didn’t suspect anything, it was on to the big event!

Once Sully brought Allison to the Conservatory’s Sunken Garden, I was able to sneak a few photos of the actual proposal before Allison knew what was going on. I loved Sully’s triumphant “whoop” (photo below) when Allison discovered our plan and saw me capturing their photos! She was a great sport and excited for couple photos too. We spent some time in the gorgeous Sunken Garden before heading outdoors for a few last minute photos of them in front of the building. They headed out for a celebratory dinner afterward.

Como Park Wedding Photographer | Nickie + Tony

Como Park Lily Pond Wedding

I arrived for Tony + Nickie’s wedding day early, as I always do, and soon met up with Tony at the Lily Pond (where we had decided to hold their first look) at Como Park. Tony was a little nervous, but still very excited for the big event. Since I had never met them in person before, Tony made sure to let me know that “Nickie will be the one with green hair.” Sure enough, she arrived a few minutes later and she was hard to miss – dressed in her gorgeous flowing gown, stunning flowers and petite sparkling crown, she had the cutest green hair I had ever seen! I walked her over to meet up with Tony, and we began their first look. We had planned to capture their initial portraits at Como Park’s adorable Lily Pond area, complete with beautiful pond, fountains, bridges, gardens, a white pergola, and even a “reverse waterfall”. They were so happy and had such a great time! Once their portraits were complete, it was on to the North Garden for a few more portraits and finally their ceremony.

Nickie’s father presided over the wedding ceremony, which was also attended by a number of their relatives and close friends. They even had a hand-fastening ceremony right over the water feature of the North Garden. The whole event was so beautiful!

After their ceremony, they celebrated the night away at their reception dinner next door in the Conservatory’s Ordway Garden.

Muriel Sahlin Arboretum Wedding

Lauren + Luke chose to work with me for their wedding photography at Roseville Central Park’s Muriel Sahlin Arboretum. I’ll admit, despite living just a few miles away, I had never seen the Roseville Arboretum before now. I was very pleasantly surprised with the gorgeous venue full of gardens, fountains and trails through the woods. Luke + Lauren had decorated the covered ceremony area with wisteria flowers and it was absolutely stunning! The Arboretum also had an adorable little cottage for the wedding team to assemble, which was so helpful too. Lauren + Luke held their first look and portraits beforehand, and then it was on to the ceremony!

Lauren + Luke’s wedding was absolutely stunning and everyone was so happy for them. They had a lovely receiving line and time for group portraits afterward, and then we all headed off to Como Park for their reception.

Lauren + Luke’s wedding reception was held at Como Park’s Covered Porch (part of the Como Conservatory complex), starting with cocktail hour and then dinner. Afterward they had a cake cutting and dancing, and everyone had a blast.
