Sunken Garden Wedding Photography | Kathleen + Jon

Como Park Sunken Garden Wedding Photography

Kathleen + Jon were getting married at the Como Conservatory Sunken Garden. (I love it so much, I got married there myself!) Their September day was so gorgeous, with perfect temps and stunningly blue skies.

We started with a first look right as they arrived at Como Park. They were so excited, and it was so fun to see how happy they were together! We followed up with photos with their wedding party as well as their families. After the photos, it was on to the big event.

Their ceremony took place in the Marjorie McNeeley Conservatory just before dusk. Everything was so gorgeous! Once their ceremony was done, the guests left for the reception while we remained behind to get a few photos of them inside the Sunken Garden. Afterward we headed outside to get some beautiful sunset photos before they were off to the Rainforest Room to celebrate the night away.

Bell Museum + Can Can Wonderland Wedding Photography | Rachel + Jimbo

Bell Museum Wedding Photography

I was so excited to work with Rachel + Jimbo for their big day. Their plans included both the Bell Museum as well as Can Can Wonderland – two of my favorites! They both loved and were involved in the earth sciences, which made the Bell Museum significant to them. They also loved games, so Can Can Wonderland was another natural fit. So much fun!

They prepared for their big day at a nearby hotel. Once ready, we headed back to the Bell Museum for their first look and couple/group portraits. It was fun running around the Bell Museum for fun photos with the wooly mammoth, polar bear and solar system exhibits! The day was beautiful so we also opted for outdoor portraits with their wedding party and families.

Rachel + Jimbo’s wedding ceremony was in the Bell Museum Planetarium – they had galaxy photos screened overhead while they were taking their vows. It was so gorgeous! Once their ceremony and receiving line were over, we all headed over to Can Can Wonderland for a fun reception evening!

At Can Can Wonderland, guests played tons of games and mini-golf while enjoying an amazing dinner. After toasts and speeches, Rachel + Jimbo were excited to play their first rounds of games as a married couple. They enjoyed skeeball as well as the phenomenal artist-designed mini golf. So much fun was had by all!

Como Park Sunken Garden Wedding Photography

Patty + Andrew worked with me for their beautiful wedding day photography at one of my favorite venues – the Como Conservatory Sunken Garden. (I love it so much, I got married there myself!)

We started their day with preparation at the Drury Hotel in downtown St Paul. Once they were both ready, we headed over to Como Park. We started with Patty + Andrew’s first look and a few portraits on the Como Park grounds. Once those were finished, we captured their wedding party group photos as well as family photos. Then it was on to the big event!

Patty + Andrew’s wedding ceremony was so beautiful, surrounded by the beautiful floral space of the Sunken Garden. After their ceremony, we spent some time with photos of them inside the Sunken Garden.

Como Covered Porch Wedding Reception

Patty + Andrew’s wedding reception was held in the Como Conservatory Covered Porch. They started with cocktail hour, then dinner and toasts. We had a little detour during the toasts when a severe storm hit and the Conservatory staff shuttled us into the basement. We discovered there was a nearby tornado! After the danger passed, they let us back out to finish the party. Everyone had a good laugh over the events, and then had fun dancing away into the night.

Brenda + Adam worked with me for their beautiful wedding day photography at one of my favorite venues – the Como Conservatory Sunken Garden. (I love it so much, I got married there myself!)

We started their day with preparation at the Celeste Hotel in downtown St Paul. Once Brenda was ready, we headed over to Como Park for the big event!

Brenda + Adam’s wedding ceremony was so beautiful, surrounded by the gorgeous green space of the Sunken Garden. After their ceremony, we spent some time taking group photos as well as photos of the two of them alone both inside and outside the Como Conservatory.

Brenda + Adam’s wedding reception started with cocktail hour, then toasts and dinner. Once their dinner was finished, they cut their cake and then it was off to dancing, and even a rousing version of the shoe game! They had a blast and danced away into the night.

St Paul College Club Wedding Photography | Laura + Mitchal

St Paul College Club Wedding Photography

Laura + Mitchal loved the beautiful vintage architecture and gorgeous gardens of the St Paul College Club, so it was a perfect fit for their big day. It was tough planning around the global Covid pandemic, but they were very careful and everyone had a wonderful time!

The two of them and their wedding party prepared in the bride and groom suites onsite at the St Paul College Club. Once they were ready, they had their first look in the back yard. We followed with couple photos, wedding party photos and family photos. Then it was time for the big event! There were tears of joy and laughter as they tied the knot.

Once the ceremony was over, Laura + Mitchal enjoyed some time alone upstairs while the guests enjoyed drinks, hors d’oeuvres, music and games outside. They rejoined the party just in time to cut the cake and then head in for dinner. After toasts, everyone had a blast dancing and enjoying the night.

Steeple Center + Troy Burne Golf Club Wedding Photos | Emily + Ryan

Steeple Center Wedding Photography

I worked with Emily + Ryan for their beautiful summer wedding photography. They held their wedding ceremony at the Steeple Center in Rosemount MN. It was a beautiful venue, and even more special since one of their uncles was able to officiate too! After their beautiful ceremony, we headed out for a quick stop in Hudson Wisconsin, right at the St Croix riverfront, for wedding party photos. After a quick stop for a toast at a riverfront bar, we headed off to the reception!

Troy Burne Wedding Reception Photography

Emily + Ryan’s wedding reception started off with a fun cocktail hour, then followed with dinner and dancing. Once the first dances had taken place, Emily + Ryan snuck away for sunset photos on the Troy Burne Golf Club grounds in a golf cart! We had sunset photos as well as photos by the creekside and in the woods. The Golf Club staff even brought them a bottle of champagne to enjoy while we were having fun in the woods! We had so much fun, and then they headed back off to the reception to dance the night away.

Interstate State Park Wedding Reception Photography

Deanna + Daniel had to delay their 2021 wedding celebration due to the global Covid pandemic. They decided to go forward with a small ceremony in 2021, and then hold their larger wedding reception in 2022. I was so excited they chose to work with me for their amazing Franconia Sculpture Park wedding reception photography!

After they prepared for their big event on their beautiful June day, we headed over to Interstate Park (on the Wisconsin side) for some pre-ceremony couple photos. I absolutely love that park – the rock outcroppings and river views are stunning!

Once we were finished with their portraits, we headed over to Franconia Sculpture Park (near Taylor’s Falls) for their big reception and celebration. They were excited to have portraits with some of the beautiful sculptures before the party started. Then we headed over to the reception venue for the fun! They had dinner from the phenomenal GastroTruck food truck, along with homemade desserts, toasts, lawn games, a shoe game, and dancing. The whole event was so much fun, and went by in a flash!

Stacy + Shea had the honor of being my first full-day wedding of 2022. They also had the honor of delaying their wedding the longest due to the Covid pandemic – two years! Their big day was finally able to go on this past summer, and it was perfect in every way!

Backyard Wedding Photography

Stacy + Shea’s big day took place on a beautiful, warm June day. They purchased their beautiful property a few years ago right along the Mississippi River just north of Minneapolis, and held the big celebration right in their own back yard. It was amazing!

They prepared separately in their home and their neighbor’s home so they wouldn’t see each other. Then they held their ceremony right in their own back yard, with Shea’s father as the officiant. Once the big event was finished, it was time for the big celebration right next-door in a big beautiful tent. They had yard games, food trucks, drinks and desserts, and an amazing DJ for the big party afterward. Everyone had a blast!

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Wedding Photography | Marcie + David

Landscape Arboretum MN Wedding Photography

Marcie + David were another of my wedding couples who had a delay due to the Covid pandemic. Autumn 2021 ended up being their moment, and their MN Landscape Arboretum wedding day was absolutely beautiful! They began their day by prepping in different rooms in the Snyder building. Once they were ready, they held their first look near the waterfall behind the building. Afterward we drove down the Three Mile Drive, capturing portraits of the two of them together, until we ended up at the Grass Garden where they would have their ceremony.

Once their ceremony and group portraits were complete, we headed back to the Snyder building for cocktail hour. Marcie + Dave began dinner with an amazing choreographed dance! Then everyone enjoyed dinner and toasts, and then followed up with a hilarious shoe game. After the laughs, they then danced the night away with family and friends.

Millennium Hotel Minneapolis Wedding Photography | Emily + Ben

Millennium Hotel Wedding Photography

Emily + Ben had rescheduled their wedding several times due to the Covid pandemic. They finally decided to take the plunge in fall 2021. They chose the Millennium Hotel for it’s spectacular views, as well as fun photography venues nearby (Westminster Church and Loring Greenway). They had such a wonderful day, everything went perfectly!

Emily + Ben prepped in the hotel suites. We held their first look in the Millennium dome. Afterward, we headed over to Westminster Church to use their Trinity Staircase and Art Glass Room for portraits. After that, we headed down to the Loring Greenway and Nicollet Mall for wedding party photos. We then ran back up to the Millennium Dome for a first look with their families as well as family portraits. After that was time for the big event!

Once Emily + Ben’s ceremony was complete, it was on the the cocktail hour, and then dinner. Afterward was cake cutting and toasts, and then on to dancing! Emily and Ben surprised their guests with an amazing choreographed dance routine, as well as the hilarious Cat Toss (instead of bouquet toss!) They followed that up with the fun shoe game, and then danced the night away with family and friends!
